When I was young my paternal Grandparents would visit in the summer and while they were with us they would bring me, my siblings and sometimes some of our friend out for trips, often to Barna. On the way we’d play a game called Thatch, the first one to shout out “thatch” when a thatch cottage was in view got a point, a higher scoring game then than it would be now.
